Bonfire

It's Illegal here on St. Augustne Beach to have a fire, let alone to have a fire and cook.
Are there any beaches left in US that will allow this?
I would love to take my husband and step-son to a beach that will allow us to dig a pit and start a fire and cook our food. I think it would be a great time at the beach.

Are you serious? I guess living here in Canada I take things for granted. I now live out in the country only seconds from the beach and everyone goes down and has fires at night on the beach. We also have bonfires in our yard whenever we want. That's crazy you can't do that in some area's of the States. Ya I can understand not letting it happen during the day but why not at night.
