Saina Nehwal the Indian lady won the gold medal in common wealth games, and raised Indian hope in badminton. Although she got good support from her parents and coach, many senior members and reletavies were not supporting her to play badminton. Sainas Grand mother didnt wanted agirl to be born as their second child for sainas parent. so she faced many negligence from her grand mother in her childhood, Saina was born in a Jatt family in Haryana. her mother Usha Rani also played badminton for haryana, so her mother gave her good support to reach this platform. Saina and her family is now living in an apartment bought by saina from the prize money she got by playing badinton, and she is very much satisfied and proud on it. Saina says many relatives showed opposition in girls participating in sports and other activities. Now sain is happy because she had been successfull in proving that female childrens are not a burden for the family, instead they can take the familys pride and nations pride to a higher level. so a well fought Gold medal.

yeah i heard that her grandmother wanted a boy. something like this i heard. but apart from that i would like to comment the way saina won the gold medal. she played an amazing final in which she was a set down and saved a couple of match points to go on to win successive sets and win the gold medal. it was a treat to watch that final.that match was an example of what a player saina really is.

ya the match was a real treat to watch. stunning performance. not only down by a set. at one time her oppositon player was just a point away from game point, still she came back strongly without dissapointing the hope of whole nation. it was an example pure dedication. Saina rockzzzzzzz, I am a big fan of her.

yes it was a thrilling match and it almost slipped away from saina. i was hoping to see a comeback and was a wonderful come from behind victory. too bad i do not get to see more of her matches as badminton tournaments are not being broadcast on the main sports channels.

Hi Venki, Saina Nehwal had done so many proud things for her country as well as for her family. Yes,you are right in those olden days girls were not allowed to come out of their houses.they should be only in the kitchen cooking food. But now women have been doing so many things for the country and they make us proud as an INDIAN.I think er grand mother must have also been a woman of those olden days.So she hated Saina Nehwal because she was a girl.I read this news from the internet.I think at least now her grand mother should see her grand daughter's face and congratulate her!

ya her grandmother may be a lady of olden days, but saina has made the nation proud, so now she should change her attitude.
