hello everyone i'm new here as well and i realized i hadn't posted an "announcement" of my newbieness hehehe here's my car I call him "Cop" (because my girlfriend named him) hehehe i purchased him in June after selling my Mitsubishi Celeste. I always thought I'd be happy with a Celeste because of the sporty image and the speed but I realized it just wasn't me... So off I went trolling the web looking for a volkswagen that I could buy cheap I found one seller and after initially looking over the car I purchased him for 22K he's a 1975 Beetle and one tip to new guys: Never, ever buy a car at night as soon as i got him home I inspected the car and found so many things i missed from my first inspection with a teeny tiny flashlight. here's a list of things done to the car already... which used to look like this... repaired the brakes repainted to two tone (final color will be flat black and beige) new alternator (to remove the ugly old set up where there were 2 alternators) new shocks "new headliner" new wipers repaired windows repaired some wiring new shifter (empi t shifter) battery still a lot of things to repair aircon is pre installed... i just need a compressor to make it work... if i decide to finally have it installedcause i'm still afraid it'll put stress on my engine
