MEN AND THE GODFATHER?

That's a good question. I think most men really wish deep down that they were in the mafia, and they like the movie more because of that. Plus the movie is well written and the actors are great, but I think the real reason is the mafia thing.

It is basically about the Mafia and how they deal with matters that displease them. As a matter of fact, there is a high probability that mafia money was actually used in making the film, as the mafia now have a lot of financial interests, some of whihc are quite legitimate. LOL

I am a man. I liked to total control the protagonists (there are 2) of the novel/ movie have on the life. About the movie it is one of the great movies I have seen.

About men and the movie, answer this:
Would you not love it if your man has total control of his life? I believe every woman would die to be the love of such a man. That is what men want to have - total control of life, rather than life controlling them.

I think it has more to do with the story, how it develops, excpetional script, great performance than with the fact that it is a mafia movie, it has more to do with the development of the characters and the fact it is from the mob/mafia adds to the movie, but it is not its greatest strength.
