why is it that a large count of fathers rely on their wives to do the birth controlling, taking pills and undergoing the process of ligation. why cant they take the risk of undergoing vasectomy too?!...

I know with my husband it just freaks him out to have a doctor do something to his parts. We are pretty sure we want just the one child we want but at this point don't want to do anything final. I guess one day we will and I have told him hey I had the baby you need to do this. I don't think guys having anything but nice things done to that part of their body. Plus they figure that we a have and entire doctor for that one part so it must be easier for us.

Good question indeed :p I think it would be due to the higher risk in vasectomy operation and the side effects it may have. http://www.vasectomy-information.com/moreinfo/risks.htm

This is a good question, yes normally wives are getting for all ways of birth controlling, actually I don't know why? But in my opinion may be from the beginning of birth control always mother is the recipient of that step. No big deal if mother if ligated but if husband something in the mind of others can tell. One of my cousin was undergo for visectomy so not imposible to do that but as I said it become natural that mother is the recepient... see you around
