Why does the search engine or deadend sites I get to tell me that access is denied because I don't have permission to go to that site?
My Mom wants to buy my brother a deer gun for Christmas and she's asked me for a few days to look on the internet for her, so I tried today and no matter what I put for guns in the search bar, it comes to a tag or lable or heading tht says 'Access Denied" I don't have permission to be there. (something real similar to that.

Could be that the site has restricted certain geographic areas maybe? Is this the only site that gives you this message?

If I have the parental controls on, I had no idea. I don't have any idea how to even do that. I guess I will have to look that one up. I never even thought of such a thing. That just goes to show how much more I have to learn about computers, and it is nice to know that I can come to mylot and learn the way I do because of kind persons like yourself and many others!

Hardworkinggurl, thank you so much for going to such lengths to get this information to me. It had to take some serious time. I really appreciate it. I did have somehow the parental controls on. I don't know if my computer came that way. It is a brand spankin' new one. So it may have been set on there already. I have found that there are several things running in the background that have shot my usage so high that my provider has gotten in touch with me 3 times!
So, I suppose that could have been set as on also!

Huh are you sure you do not parental control in your browser settings?? That would be my only guess.

Ohhhh! Could be. I noticed you were at 19999 earlier and I decided that must not be your number of posts. But I guesss it was cause now it's 20003.
