I am wondering if anyone else experiences this when it starts getting cold out. I woke up one day and my nose was bright red. I don't have a cold, but because the weather is cold outside my skin dried out. It hurts and feels like scales because it is so dry. I need suggestions on how to treat it so it heals. I don't have any face lotion but I do have vaseline and hand and body lotion.

It is quite normal for a vast majority to have dry skin during the winter months. I do is use the lotion and a dab of Vaseline and my skin is really soft. I do this religiously all year round.
Only do this to the dry patches when it comes to the face. As vaseline can clog your pores but you will see what a difference it makes.

The cold weather worsens the dry skin. I know how you feel as I experienced the same when I was in the Us one winter. The Skin especially on the sides of the nose tends to become dry and flaky. I would suggest that you have a separate moisturizer for the face and the body. This is because the skin on the face is more sensitive compared to the other parts of the body. You may try to check your local pharmacy for moisturizing and hydrating creams for the face. I also would recommend that you put this cream morning and evening to get the maximum effect. One more thing is for you to avoid too much washing of face since this removes the natural oils on the skin so it tends to become drier. You can use the non wash facial cleanser.. The wipe off type. I hope I was able to help.

My hands get way dry in the winter like this. Occasionally I get dry on my cheeks like this. Jergens healing lotion works wonders. The worst though for me in the winter is my scalp. Having the heat on dries it bad.
