How much are we sure that Olive Oil is really good in our health? Is that a good substitute especially when we are in diet?
Is it really safe for everyday use since that is cholesterol free?
Do you think Olive Oil will be healthy as well for deep frying?
I am always using that since I am on my diet and I want to avoid the fatty oils. Though it is really expensive when you buy this on bottle.

Olive oil is proven better for our health frankly. It is not cholesterol-free,but it contains a different forms of lipids.Let me explain further, lipids are carried by lipoproteins mainly categorized into two,HDL (high-density lipoproteins) and LDL (low density lipoproteins).HDL is able to carry cholestrol into the water-based bloodstream in high amounts while LDL carry cholesterol in a much lesser extent. Thus,HDL is better and olive oils are rich of it.Since it is a good oil,I think there's no problem with deep frying. If I'm not mistaken, for deep frying, people usually use extra-virgin ones for this.It is quite expensive but worth the price.I really love it when used in salads as seasonings.

That's the problem with "eating healthy".... many can't afford it! I don't do much deep frying with oils and such, but all the organic and "healthy" stuff... I can't afford it! I work hard on my health like everyone else, but I just can't afford to "eat healthy". Money is limited and starving is no more "healthy" than eating moderately. Just cut back on fast foods and things like that helps tremendously

Well I think I could only use the olive oil for deep frying when I want to cook the fried chicken.
Oh yes! I have my Extra Virgin coconut oil. So what do you think the other advantages of using Virgin Coconut oil? Is there any advantage for the skin?

Yes,of course.I usually used the oil as a moisturizer for the skin.Just before I go to bed,I'll spread a thin layer of oil onto my face. But sometimes, some people regards the usage of oils to treat skin conditions such as eczema.I would not recommend this since oil is an organic stuff, and it can helps microbes to grow, leading to infections.

Olive oil is very good not only because it does not have saturated oils but also it doesn´t change with heat . Some oils are carcinogenic if used for frying.

I have heard that coconut oil changes with heat. But I don´t know for sure. I cook mainly with 100% sunflower oil as I have heard that it is not carcinogenic if heated.

I heard that olive oil is one of the healthiest oils. You will have less possibilities to have heart attack. Besides, I think this oil will make the dishes much more delicious. When I read the pizza recipes, it is often suggested to use the olive oil.
I love China

I think here in Manila wherein there is Yellow cab pizza store they were using olive oil so no wonder it is really expensive. Though that is understandable because it is good for our health.

My grandmother was speaking about olive oil when I was a little kid. Back then we used sunflower oil and the olive oil was something very expensive and rare. Now it's easy to find but it's not easy to afford it. But it's really good for our health. Researches shows for instance the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet because of the olive oil. I had problems with my bile and I decided to use this oil for salads and cooking. And I discovered that it's enough tu put a very little amount, so I can afford to buy it.

So meaning to say sunflower oil is more affordable compare to the olive oil? Unfortunately I can't see here in Manila even when I am buying at groceries.
