I'm experiencing so much pain, frequent and scanty urination especially at night. I also have a slight fever. I'm trying to figure out if this is really a Urinary Tract Infection? I'm afraid that it might affect my kidneys too or my prostate.

UTI is Urinary tract infections in short, Symptoms would be burning sensation while passing urine. Pain in the passage and hot flushes for women. Fever is also associated with UTIs. The treatment varies form infection to infection and there are many kinds of UTI. When I had UTI I was prescribed URISPAS by my doctor. Every UTI will not lead to kidney problems and prostrate problems.Better You visit a Urologist. Drink as much water as you can and liquids like fresh fruit juices and tender coconut for symptomatic relief. Wish you good Health Calpro

UTI infections are very painful. I have had them many times, however my right kidney is weak so it always goes to my kidney quickly and becomes even more painful. The most pain is in your lower stomache and if in your kidneys you will feel it on your sides (or one side if it is only in one kidney). You may also experience frequent urination, or sometimes you will feel like you have to go really bad and then only a small amount comes out, its becuase your bladder is not fully emptying. The doctor will take a urine test a dip a stip into it which will test for bacteria in the urine. If there is bacteria found you will be treated will an antibiotic, usally its a penicillian but not always your doctor will decide what would work best for you. Good luck, and feel better!
