I love peanuts that when I start eating I can't seem to stop. There is an urban legend in my country that peanuts will make you bright because it is brain food so we ate a lot of it when we were students. My favorite is boiled with shell. There are many varieties like roasted, with or without shell, filipino adobo, oriental, honey roasted, sugar or chocolate coated, Korean sung sung, peanut butter, kare kare sauce, sate babi etc... how do you prefer your peanut and what other ways do you do with it in your place or country where you are right now.

I pretty much just eat plain ole roasted peanuts. I do like peanut butter though too. i eat it more than peanuts lately. But I do really like peanuts. I haven't tried them boiled so I don't know if I would like them. I do like chocolate covered peanuts.... those are good too!

You should try boiled peanuts(with the shell),besides being delicious , it's healthier.Well it's readily available here . you buy it raw, still with all that sand and dirt and I wash it off myself. Pressure cook it with salt( time 20-25 min. when you hear the sound and depending on peanut variety).

WEll at least it sounds good. I may have to try them one of these days. But I don't have a pressure cooker.

Well then you can boil them on a pot , would just take a little bit longer though, around 40 min, or more. Just make sure the water does not dry up.

yes prof, in the Philippines if you fry it in oil with garlic then that's called "adobo peanuts", we put salt but we do not have black salt. It could also be placed in a wok , slow heat and constantly stirred, then we call that roasted peanuts

hi,
i also like to eat peanuts raw or roasted. In our house we make Chutney of peanuts. We have to roast the peanuts, then grind them with some garlic pieces, add some salt, some tamarind and some chilly powder. it tastes very delicious.

That sounds interesting friend, I really love peanut with garlic and chili, the tamarind mix is new to me and it's stirring my curiosity, do I need to use the sour unripe tamarind or the ripe sweet tamarind to make this? Is it just the juice? do I need to remove the tamarind seeds?

I certainly like the taste of peanuts. That used to be my favorite while watching movies on the TV in the evenings. But, no longer now, because my teath are not good any more for peanuts. So, I have to change to other things, like potatoe chips, and soft biscuits

I like honey roasted peanuts. I can eat a lot when watching TV. Although it is high in calories.

This is the only way that I seem to eat them. I have never heard of the variety that your country makes them as. I would like to try these flavors!
