Animal lovers have favoritism?

They usually protect the ones who are cute in the eyes like dogs or cats but some prefer the ugly ones. I think it's favoritism.

It is favoritism i accept your view.But this has more to do with their likes and dislikes and not hatred or discrimination.Normally an animal lover will show preference but i don't think they will behave cruelly with other animals.I find within my own family different members have a preference for different types of dogs,i guess it all comes down to individual likes and dislikes.
