I listen to instrumental songs as long as they're Jazz music. I really enjoy the upbeat ones but I also love the mellow ones. Aside from enjoying the music, I sometimes sleep with the radio on while on the Jazz station. When I wake up, I really feel so relaxed and at peace. It just feels so great.

since i have a feeling the thread starter is not the type that responds back, I will post under a person I know and that is you. I think Jazz music is good when you are dining or lounging. In my case most of the instrumental music I listen to are actually videogame soundtrack...I know it sounds strange but lots of video game theme-songs were very relaxing and engaging. some of them are upbeat and some of them are mellow but they can raise hairs and fill the senses.

Hi CaptAlbertWhisker! Videogame soundtracks do have awesome music, it's not strange at all. I guess one of the iconic composers would be Nobuo Uematsu of the Final Fantasy series. I really like the music of Final Fantasy VII & Final Fantasy Adventure (Gameboy). Also, the world map music of Xenogears is pretty relaxing too. Jazz music sure is nice when dining or lounging. I remember when I ate at a food court recently. The music was Christmas songs but they were rock versions...which was pretty annoying. Jazz would be better. Thanks for the reply and have a nice day! ;)

Speaking of Jazz music and videogame soundtracks, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 have a Jazz soundtrack. I think Final Fantasy had always been the King of Soundtracks whether they have lyrics or not.I think Xenogears and Final Fantasy were both Square Enix so its enough reason why they have good music. My fave Video game background music of all time would be the "Nakoruru theme" from Samurai Showdown, its flute goodness. Nakoruru is an ainu princess who is very innocent and virginal, she is the personification of mother nature. I cant believe an innocent looking character with emotional flute theme will exist in a violent fighting game. Videogame soundtracks are all available at youtube...

I very much like listening to classical music, very relaxing and very enchanting. I keep a collection of CDs of classical music, Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Johan Strauss, and more, and I listen to the CDs almost every evening after I get back home from my work. That has become my favorite way of relaxation and getting rid of the stresses of the day.

I listen to music and instrumental ones. The instrumental ones are the smooth jazz music that I listen to everyday. As for music, I listen to korean pop songs.

I easily get bored when i listen to instrumental music. Even if i feel being too emotional, i still don't like listening to it. It's much better if i listen to emo songs with lyrics on it when i feel like being emo than listening to instrumental alone. When i want to go to sleep and really can't sleep, what i listen are soft songs even classical songs just that it has lyrics on it and not instrumental.

I can understand the EMO mode. When I was depressed all I would listen to is cello classical music, which is pretty, but I'm not sure why I only listen to classical music when I'm down. I play the piano and play instrumentals all the time. I like putting a lot of emotion in it and changing the dynamics. It's fun to improvise.

I love instrumental music, mostly guitar though. I do have an app on my phone that has ocean sounds and nature sounds, every now and then I'll listen to it. I'm not a fan of Emo because its too depressing. I'm a child of the 80's and our music was fun and you had a good time listening to it.

Yes, I appreciate instrumental music if I like the rhythm of it. I can play it back for several times. This is especially so when I am tired and depressed. I also want to relax my mind and body this way. I find it that it has the same purpose with massage.

Greetings I listen to both kinds actually. I listen to music most of the time because, it helps perk out my day. It basically gives color to me. The instrumental songs/Mozart, I usually listen to that when I am having a hard time sleeping. So, I guess I am more into music with lyrics :) have a nice day :)

well there is an instrumental album from my favourite band DEMON HUNTER. I love that albums, sometimes I just need to relax, or need to think about some things in life, and I need listening to these songs. When I am in an emo mode, I use to listen post-hardcore. I mean blessthefall and some other bands like that.

I like instrumental songs. Instrumental sax, guitar and piano are great. It is like a lullaby because it makes me sleep. It definitely relaxes my mind especially when I have so much things in mind. When you are in "emo mode", it intensifies the feeling of "emoness".
