I drove to the post office yesterday to mail my packages and when I drove home all the sudden when I started my van the heater wouldnt work. I had to tell my daughter not to talk so it wouldnt fog up the windows. I needed to be able to see out them to drive. I wanted to go shopping today but since I cant drive with no heater I knew I had to get it fixed. I called the local repair garage and asked when they could take a look at it. They told me to drop it off today in the morning. My sister offered to leave work for a few minutes to drive down behind me and bring me back home while my van was being worked on. I told her to text me when she wanted to go. She texted me and I went out to start my van and suddenly the heater is working lol. So I quick texted her back to let her know she didnt need to help me and she was driving up to my house just as I sent the text. I felt bad wasting her time. I would have walked home after but she said no way and offered to pick me up. Maybe she enjoyed a fast little break anyway who knows. I got home and called the repair shop. They didnt pick up so I left a message on the machine telling them that the heater suddenly decided it wanted to work so if it stops working again I will have to bring it in but that I wouldnt need to bring it in that day. I HAVE to use the van to go about 30 minutes from my house to pick up some Christmas gifts for my kids on Thursday. I have to be there at a certain time and I also have a urologist appointment that morning so I'm praying the heater doesnt decide to quit working again.

Sorry to hear your van's heat is on the outs. If it is not one thing it is another. Ugh what a pain. I hope it won't be a huge expense and maybe just needs some of the free on thingy they use so that your December budget does not go on the fritz.

Thats exactly what bugs me the most is something is always wrong with the van. Its like a 1994 I think and its not in the greatest shape. All I care is it runs good enough to get me around. I cant get around with not heater though or the windows will be all fogged up or iced over lol. So I'm going to be stuck fixing whatever the problem is if it decides to quit working again. The one day it was 0 out and the van wouldnt start until after lunch time when it got to like 15 degrees out.
