Some myLotters knew that I change my Mobile Number to new one. What annoyed me I got more than 50 spam text messages everyday. The worst thing about it I can't understand what are all about because it is written in Arabic and I only understand if it is written in English. I don't know how to stop this curse. It destruct me everytime I received those spam messages. My decision is final I will cancel this post paid plan simcard at the end of this month.
What you did when you received spam text messages? Do you delete it immediately and don't care what is all about?

All spams are equally annoying, or more annoying than the other. It doesn't matter where I get them, cellphone or PC, they're all plain stupid and annoying.

I've received spam messages some time ago, recently and I even started a discussion about it. Well the thing is that, the person who spammed me claimed that he knows who I was, but I don't even know that person. All his spam messages were repeated and all consisted of vulgarities. It lasted for about 3 to 4 days until finally, I launched a 'tracking protocol' among my MSN friends, then it stopped. Isn't that fishy? That person was really foolish as he thought that he'll never be tracked. Although it's irritating, but I'll let him waste his time and money. There's no use deleting as he'll keep sending and sending. So, just ignore it. He'll stop, trust me.
If it really bothers you, then it's time to change your number.

Hi julyteen: I agree with you. They really annoy me. What I usually do is just delete them. I don't even read them because I know what they are all about. I sometimes don't read a single SMS on my whole day so I just delete them all at the end of the day.

Hi there! Oh yes...since my BlackBerry is linked to my email, I will just mark it as 'Mark This As SPAM' and it goes into my spam folder :)
Easy case. Really hate spam. But frankly, sometime, I read too just to have a feeling of being cheated. Weirdo .

Yes.. I do get annoyed if I receive spam messages on my mobile.. I have a very old mobile.. which has small storage memory.. when I get unwanted messages I have to read and delete it.. but if I am not able read such a message then the message that I want to receive gets blocked just because I don't have enough memory in mobile..

I have never received spam messages on my cellphone, unless you want to call the ones from my provider spam, as they will message me when I have paid my bell, or when it is due. Now that can be annoying as all get out, as I just wish they didn't have to do that all the time. I guess they just want me to know that they are processing my payment. I just basically delete those, and not really read them all that much. The email I get on my pc I also get on my cellphone, but I can dlear them all without even opening them, as I really don't need them coming on both, but the do, and I just deal with it, and make sure that I get rid of all of them. Take care, and happy mylotting.

I also always receive spam messages on my mobile phone and the most irritating one is the announcement from some numbers saying I have won some amount of money bla bla bla. I usually just ignore and delete them straight away and I do the same with my mum's mobile because I don't want her to get cheated or something. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

In my country when you're enrolled in a postpaid plan you don't get spam messages. Only those with prepaid accounts receive spam messages. In my case I'm using a Blackberry phone with wifi and so i turn my mobile connections off when i'm home and just use the wifi. The only way friends can communicate with me is through BBM or other messenger services or my email. In that way I won't receive any spam text messages at all.
But then i am postpaid and i don't receive that much!

Its quite common nowadays receiving spam messages may it be in our email or cellphone. But there are also times that it already becomes quite irritating when it happens quite very often like everyday. I think if you keep on receiving lots of spam messages you could try reporting it to your network service provider so that they could try blocking the number and stop those spam messages. But i think it would be much faster if you would try changing your number but it would be quite hard to keep in contact with other people who especially don't know that you have already changed your number. Usually when i receive spam messages i just try to ignore and delete it immediately since i just receive it around once a month only and its not that irritating yet. But when it happens almost everyday i would already be reporting it to have that number blocked by my service provider.
