We've all done things in life that we aren't so happy about maybe a bad decisions or just past experiences that wasn't so great, but I can honestly say that I've never felt shame over anything in fact I rarely ever use the word shame in my vocabulary. Because the word is useless to me, also because its useless to feel shame everyone makes mistakes and living life feeling ashamed of how you feel or what you do even who you are is pointless, this word has no place in my life or thought process. As long as who we are and what we do hasn't hurt anyone or effected any ones else's life in a negative way, shame is unnecessary we should learn from life experience's not feel ashamed of them. What are your thoughts on the word emotion shame is there a place for this word in your life?

Hiya apples, So many times I wished that I could have changed things that I had to do in my life. But I don´t think that I should feel shame not me. They the other ones that caused the bad situations they should feel shame. But seeing as I know they are not going to bother even feeling a little bit of that emotion I don´t really bother too much about it. However every so often it can get to you and it all wells up inside and you can feel a bit bad about some things that you had no control over but you wish you could have done it all another way. Long story cut short here thank goodness. I think that it´s an emotion we need and yet we don´t really need as well. I would not know where to fit it in really at all.

Dear apples I really failed to understand your stand on the subject! Do you mean if some one committed any mistake and since it has already a past thing and there is nothing to be gained to think about it , so one shouldn't be ashamed of the act. In today's World there are so many gruesome and heinous crimes taking place where Kids are killing parents ,Siblings are killing each other, Minors and children are raped,Now do you mean the culprits in such cases shouldn't be ashamed of such acts? I think to be ashamed of a guilt is a natural act! If we have committed some thing wrong which has resulted loss to other person, we are guilty and we feel ashamed of committing such thing so long we have humanity. For that matter I am a Vet, I ran a Clinic for Dogs for several years. I know even dogs are also ashamed after realising that I was helping them to get rid of their sufferings, for their silly act of becoming ferocious on me when they were brought to me for treatment. This they express by folding their ears down and making funny sounds with wagging of their tails. So I think and I am ashamed if I feel that any act committed by me is not acceptable to the Society in which I am living in and I always try to avoid to commit such things. Yes May be you are talking about the mistakes done without any intentions, then I would call them as accidents and for that thing nobody is responsible and no body even expects one to be ashamed of the act. Like if we have a fall and get our leg broken, then there is nothing to be ashamed of the act.But if I deliberately push some one to break his/her leg then I am ashamed to do so! Well in nut shell for me the shameful acts are always make me 'Ashamed of them' , may be I don't want myself to be called as a 'Shameless Creature!' LOL ! Thanks for the light but serious topic, I liked participating in it!
