So my HP iPaq rw6828 PDA phone had served me 4+ years & time to retire - I can hear people who call in but they can't hear me, haha!~
Then I was contemplating whether to go for Nokia or Apple but in the end I got myself a Nokia N8 due to a better package compared to the iPhone. Now I've been using it since before Christmas but I've been encountering many challenges - the speakers became soft for a while but it's now back to normal after a week or so after the incident happened ( I used the speaker phone which caused that ). It's quite laggy compared to iPhone 4. Yesterday night the whole phone hanged & I couldn't get into it as the Lock Code page doesn't even come out
I used my wife's phone to call mine & guess what - my phone won't stop ringing, haha!~
Well, just had to unscrew the bottom to take the battery out even if it means void of warranty...But on the whole it's still serving it's purpose. Anyways, has anyone used it or still using it? Any thing to share? :)

I am glad, I did not buy the Nokia N8. I was lucky, because my son warned me, that it was not a good phone, and has a tendency to hang. I really liked the appearance of this phone, and very nearly purchased it. So I think, I am really lucky, that I have not bought this phone.

Good for you!~
I was warned after I bought it
Oh well, I guess it'll be following me around for the next 5 years or more, haha!~
But other than what I've written, I'm still quite happy with it as I felt the iPhone was a bit too big for me. Oh well, I'll just count my blessing for the fact that I get to have a new phone :)

Even though it is big, the plus point is, it has got a big screen, so that you can watch music videos and films. I always love to watch music videos in the mobile phone when I am travelling. The sad part is, I still have only the small screen mobile.

Sounds like that phone of your is giving you a real fit. I have a very basic Samsung and it serves it's purpose. It's not any good for surfing the net though although it has the pop out keyboard..lol. I don't even try to use that option anymore..lol.
I would really like to have that iphone..lol..I bet that thing can do anything. My daughter has an ipod touch and it serves as a computer and a phone...at least for texting purposes and that's all she cares about..lol.

Yeah, I normally go for what I need.
As I'm in business & most of the times on the go so I really need something light & portable with the ability to surf the net plus store a whole load of info ( I find the iPhone a bit too bulky ). I like the idea that it has a 16GB built-in memory plus a scalable expansion slot for another 16GB max. The Apple iPhone comes with either 16GB or 32GB & it's like a couple hundred $ Malaysian Ringgit $
difference so that's quite absurd as there's no difference in terms of resell value

haha =D I din know N8 has got such a serious problem?? haha =D I think nokia is feeling the stress and thus they are rushing their products even though bugs are not fixed yet.. haha =D In the past, nokia phones are supposed to be the best, but after apple iphone came out, nokia is going down.. haha =D Even their X3 and X6 touch screen phones, are not doing as well too. Maybe it's time for u to go for iphone too.. haha

Well, I don't think I'll be changing any phones for another 4-5 years time? Hahaha~!
Yeah, it seems that Nokia standard has dropped a lot so I heard after the Apple iPhone has captured a huge market for the cellphone industry. I heard iPhone 5 will be out so I guess I won't be rushing into anything. Anyway it's not me to change phones that often. It has always been 4-5 years at least

The nokia n8 is a very good looking phone. It also sports good touch response. I also agree, the phone is slow and when you are in a hurry to dig up a contact, it can be bugging! the phone is also over priced in my opinion. There are similar or even better performing phones for that price and also well below that price.

Well, I do think it's over-priced as well but I got a new one for half the price because of the subscription contract with my telco as they were doing some Christmas promo thingy so I'm quite happy with that in term of pricing. Only thing is that the bugs that are really bugging me when I need to be fast & in a hurry like ou mentioned, haha!~
And yeah, I quite like the aesthetics.
