I love using my local freecycle site and it is a great opportunity for people to get rid of their unwanted items and for others to get something for nothing. One man's rubish is another man's treasure and all that haha. Over the last couple of years I have seen some strange things on offer but this time it is me that has offered something odd but I have managed to find someone who wanted it, surprisingly. What was it I here you ask? A tin of chick peas hahaha.
I used to make my own homous but these days I find it easier to buy the ready made stuff and besides my jar of tahini passed it's sell by date and I am embarrassed to say it wasn't by a couple months either hahaha
What is the weirdest thing you have posted on freecycle? What is the weirdest thing you have seen on offer on freecycle?

I am fairly new to freecycle and have not utilized it much at all, but I do take a look to see if anyone is looking for something perhaps that I might want to get rid of.
I did the other day see someone post that they had a torn up broken chair and all I could think about was why would anyone want that, but then I thought hmm maybe for parts or something. Gee some of the free items seem to be really unwanted but like you said some people will use it as treasure when they need it.

Hi ya hardworkinggurl
I guess a broken chair could also be used for fire wood? I have no idea haha. It just makes me laugh when these weird items are posted and then you get another post to say it has been collected and sometimes so quickly hahah
Thanks for your response

I dont remember seeing anything strange listed but I do remember a few times people had listed used toilets. To me that is just gross I would never accept a used toilet but if you are in need enough I guess it would be helpful. Today I listed 7 cans of green beans and I thought people are going to think I am so weird to have so many cans to give away lol. I didnt think anyone would want them but have already been promised and are being picked up tomorrow.
