Osteoporosis is a condition in which the bones become fragile and brittle, leading to a higher risk of fractures (breaks or cracks) than in normal bone. Osteoporosis usually has no signs or symptoms until a fracture happens. This is why osteoporosis is often called the 'silent disease'. The risk factors for osteoporosis are modifiable risk factors (alcohol, smoking, poor nutrition) and non modifiable risk factors (age, family history, menopause). What are another risk factors of osteoporosis? Knowing more will make us realize to prevent osteoporosis.

Absolutely, so let's not forget about the basic CDE's:
Calcium
Vitamin D
Exercise*
*According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, the best exercises for building bone density are weight-bearing such as walking and muscle-strengthening such as weight-lifting.

Osteoporosis is not nor does it have to be a foregone conclusion, puccagirl. You are never too old OR young to start prevention measures such as weight-bearing exercise.

If stress can caused we are not enough of nutrition, not enough to sleep or never sleep well, I think stress can caused osteoporosis. Stress, sometimes make us lost some nutrition caused we are rarely eat or drink or even sleep. Our body works so hard and that's not good for the bone.
