Aging is a wild situation

For 5 years now I have had lots of stressful situations happen when it comes to people dying or close to dying and I started getting gray hair then and it has been getting worse every time something happens. I don't know if it is the stress causing it or if I'm just aging.
I don't wear makeup very often and I don't have wrinkles but a lot of people my age or a little older do. I've heard the saying that if you wear makeup all the time that it doesn't give your pores breathing so it can cause you to age. I don't know if this is true or not. I also heard when I was younger if you wash your face with soap when you take a shower that it can age your face later on. Don't know how true that is either. It is hard to know since there is so much stories about different things, on knowing what to believe. LOL.

I started getting a few gray hairs after I turned 40. I don't know how old you are, but both stress and age can do that to you. I also don't have wrinkles, at least I didn't last time I looked. Most of the time, people think I am 10 years younger than I am. When I was younger, it used to bother me, but now that I am over 50, I appreciate it. What is really funny was when some people in China thought that I was 25 or something like that. As far as using soap on the face, I can't guarantee that it is true, but I have almost never used soap (except when I was visiting my grandmother as a very young girl and she would soap me up). I usually just use a wet washcloth and it does the trick. I also never had the stress of being a parent so that helps me not to have aged as much. I think the best thing to do is to observe what is true for you. If you have seen something it is more likely to be accurate than something you have read about. Have a great day!

Thank you for commenting.People used to think I looked young for my age when I was a little girl and I would get upset by it. Now they say that and it makes me feel good. A lot of people tell my son he looks young for his age and he didn't like that so I told him that I didn't either but the good thing is when you look young for your age when your younger most of the time you do when you are older too and you like it then. Now he just smiles at people when they say that. LOL.

It is funny how kids take that statement and feel insulted by it and when you grow up, you hope to hear it all the time. I'm glad he is able to smile about hearing that now. I guess it is one way of saying that he is growing up.

He is 20 and he is noticing what I'm talking about know. A few months a go or so. My 9 year olds friend asked him how old is 20 year old brother was and he said 20. His friend had a surprised look on his face and said he looks the same age as my brother and I said how old is your brother . He said 12. My 20 year old son had a big smile on his face. It was funny.

So many things can make ones face age. I don't know any one thing specifically. But they say water helps your skin so much and that's very important for every function in ones body.
Yeah, I've got more than my fair share of grey. It must the stress or quite the opposite. As some family most members are salt and pepper, some are pepper w/ a bit of salt... hard to say why that is. Sadly I found my first grey hair when i was 19 I kept telling myself it was a odd strand from a previous highlight

I heard that too that drinking lots of water is good for your skin and also heard that it is good to drink a lot of it to keep from gaining a lot of weight.I bet that was shocking getting gray hair so young. Hopefully you didn't have to deal with people being hateful to you about it.Thank you for sharing your experiences. You have a good week!

I once read that it ultimatley depends on something called the medusa gene...lol...sounds weird..I have meant to research it. There are other things that can contribute and they are blueberries. I have read that they are rich in anitoxidents and can really make a difference with the aging thing.

I have heard that stress can cause your hair to turn gray quickly. I have a friend who is much younger than me and he had testicular cancer. His hair turned gray almost over night due to the stress. He looks a lot older than us now!

Thank you for commenting. I think that stress might be able to do that too. It probably depends on the stress and how much but I think it can happen. My husband had a heart attack and his heart keep stopping when he got out of the hospital he noticed that he had lots of gray hairs on his head when he didn't have any on his head then.

Let's just enjoy every stage of our life. What is important is even if we get older, you have your husband or wife to share it with. Just make sure you always keep yourself in a healthy condition.
Be happy when you get to give wise counsel too to younger ones, because you have experienced them yourself already. Getting old means getting more knowledgeable in life.

Probably, its the stress that's causing it.Grey hair is part of aging as well so it's inevitable.Just try to look at it positively.
Soap cleanses dirt deposits and oil that clogs the pores, so i dont think it would cause you to age. However, harsh soaps could bring harm to the skin so you should always use mild soaps especially on the face.

Thank you for commenting. I was thinking that it might be the stress. Yeah I clean my face with body wash when I take a shower and it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Have a good week.
