Make No Bones About This Movie

Yes, it is draggy. True, if can be dull for many. So, be prepared to slog it out if you intend to watch this movie. 'Winter's Bone' is set in the Ozarks. The small village mentality pervades here. It will remind you of rednecks and hillbillies. Yes, expect violent streaks of the people including unnecessary violence. The interesting thing about this movie is that this poor girl caught in a web of mystery as to where her father's whereabouts and the impending loss of land and house because he jumped bail for 'cooking cocaine', is not being assisted by friends and relatives, save at the last minutes just to retrieve his bones. Until the very end,one does not really know why the girl's dad was murdered and how. Perhaps 'Winter's Bone' is beyond my intellect. Did you see it and how do you feel about this movie?

I haven't heard of this movie but I will look out for it, my favourite movie at the moment is "Despicable Me", a very unusual animated movie but so cute, shed a few tears in this one...

If you love pastoral dramas, this could be one of them to watch. Yes, I too loved 'Despicable Me'. I loved ' The Minions'. They are real fun especially after the credit roll at the end of the movie.

A few months ago a friend of mine posted reviews online. I went through some older ones and saw winters bone. I glimpsed through his review which made it sound like the movie was real good so I decided to borrow it from the library. I told my sister I was going to watch it and she said she did and that it wasnt good and that she didnt really understand what was going on. I watched it and when it was done I was stuck between thinking I loved it and I hated it lol. It was a slow going film and you really have to pay attention to what is going to to figure things out. In the end though you figure it all out and are pretty moved by what this poor 17 year old has to go through.
