We all know that the problem of interreligious relations in Indonesia these days is very complex. Many economic, social and political tensions that characterize them. Not to mention the religion is often used as a means breaking apart or disintegration, due to conflicts at the elite and the military.
This paper will not discuss the background of economic, social, and political life in Indonesia in recent interreligious - which is already much analyzed - but instead wanted to return to the basic question: Is there a theological basis needed for a basis of harmony of religious life?

In my opinion, the key to harmony is tolerance and tolerance that is the attitude held by any individual understands adopted, does not belong to a certain understanding. why do I say understand, because who does not embrace a particular religion also embraces "understand" the truth is believed to be consistent by them. so if we want to get along with "fellow man" then we must have a good tolerance with other human beings as well. strong government may play a role socialization attitudes of tolerance that with power and wisdom he had.

Indonesian Man can build harmony among people of diverse in this country if each one starting from our own self respect, run the pure teachings of the religion's core teachings of each, do not take care of other people's religious teachings.
Also if all are subject to the 45 Constitution and the Pancasila as the supreme law and the principles of the nation would have no problem in terms of religious harmony, especially if all the state apparatus to firmly apply the law in force in Indonesia without the side with one faction would all safely restrained.

Perhaps the invective common in Indonesia, but if the murder, I do not know (hopefully not happen). In my opinion, not one religion, but the character of Indonesian people who easily fall for that must be addressed. More mature self-only and open-minded and insightful. Indonesia is still a developing country and we as a filler independence must think positive in order to move forward.

A handful of people who have political interests and power, the name of religion as a shield and mask ........
A group of people who have breathed a hidden agenda of religious issues to get support or get sympathy .......
And unfortunately some people so easily provoked and influenced by the actions of their lunge ...........
Is it wrong to society that have not been able to sift and sort, or one of his government's timid and afraid to take a stance because there are many interests at play in it ....????
I hope that harmony is not just rhetoric alone.

hi dayang,
Religion is always a big factor for our economy around the globe, not only in your country dear.
The war starts with religious conflict (as far as we knew)
From the ancient wars,up to this modern world, nothing was done to stopped this religious battle.
It is so sad to think that we are all humans, created to love each other and not to kill each other (but,it's the real sad truth about life)
The only thing we can do is,pray and do good thing beyond our reach.
Help the needy/poor in our own will and capacity.
Make our own community a better place to lived in.
Have a wonderful weekend
