How many of them burnt their hands paying and becoming a member in scam sites..?

Many of us might have come across sites which promise you of giving away cash for doing certain work and make you pay and atlast cheat you....how many of us here have experienced it and burnt their fingures....even i made a research on this for almost an year and found out that 90% of them are all scams...i never believed when some site say's, pay this much and you wil be paid 10 times for small works and all...first of all, it really doesn't make sense at all...i was really looking on to some legit sites like mylot, where we don't have to pay anything and we will be paid according to the hard work therein participating in discussions, geting to know so many friends all over the world and also getting to earn something with also increasing our general knowledge....please, i want everyone to comment on this subject here...i am really curious on this....
