I've become very cynical of late.

I know, some of you who know me well would say I've always been rather cynical about politics and life in general. But getting back online after being offline for a year has not been the positive expirence I'd hoped for. You see, I don't have satellite TV to be able to watch the news. I just won't pay all that money to watch the few channels I'd be interested in. And I live in a rural county in southern Missouri, so our local paper is not well known for its diverse reporting on national issues. lol So, the internet had become my main source of information until my unemployment last year caused even that source of info to dry up. Oh, I could have made the effort to use the internet at the library. Or (worse yet) gone to my ex's to spend a few minutes online a day. But that would have meant being in the position of asking a favor of someone I'd really rather not be beholding to, if you know what I mean. So, now I'm back online and it feels like being bombarded with GRIEF, HOPELESSNESS, NEGATIVITY, and FEAR OF THE FUTURE. All I can see is our country being destroyed by selfishness, greed and corruption and of course Obama & the liberals. And in discussing it here, well that doesn't help like it used to last year. Cause everyone else is just as fearful, sad and negative as I feel. So, is it really just me? Are things really so scary in America? Am I just suffering 'cultural shock' after being disconnected for so long? What in the world is going on?

I don't know why I feel that way about things, I just do. I used to never worry about politics and how the country and the economy were going, and now I do. Not sure I can quite put a finger on it.

It just shows you are perceptive. You know, there is spiritual warfare going on all around us. I truly believe that. And it's effects bombard us daily. There is evil in the world, always has been. But it is making itself more noticed. Its the only explanation I have that makes sense.
