I think it would be a good idea to once in a while accompany your wife to visit the in-laws. Of course if they are not nice people that would be a different story. However it would be not only a nice thing but it would make her happy. I understand due to work you are probably very tired but one day take a risk and join her. Life is short dear and at some point we will rest eternally so go out a bit and laugh with others it may turn out to be a great visit. Best of luck.

When two people get married, then the real Islam teaches us, that there is no term-in-law and daughter. The parents of the wife, or husband, had automatically become new parents, for someone who is married, and vice versa. So in Islam, there is no legal separation, for the mother-in-law, or for child- law. Mother-in-law is considered as the capital itself, as well as with children, he regarded as his own child. And the relationship between child, daughter, and parents, is kinship, which is tied more closely, through one marriage. Kinship order can be maintained, we must see each other.

This is very good in a way that atleast she is meeting her family without you getting over there but I would suggest maybe one day you take the opportunity to visit them too as maybe they will really like this. You never know till you decide to go one day.
