I don't really have time to watch tv. I'm a mother of four children. My oldest being 6. So from the time that they are up to the time that they go to bed the tv's are on and set to the cartoon chanels. It don't matter if anyone is watching them they are still on... It drive me nuts and i have to go and shut them off as they walk away.

I rarely watch TV as I only got 3 hours of free time to bond with my son. I am a working mom. I prefer to use the time I have to do interesting activities with my son. We both read a book or do story-telling. We play board games like snakes and ladders. We play with his toys too. Do painting or drawing together. It is not good to use TV to baby sit kids. The early years of a child's life are considered a critical time for brain development. TV and other electronic media can get in the way of exploring, playing, and interacting with parents and others, which encourages learning and healthy physical and social development. Most of children's free time, especially during the early formative years, should be spent in activities such as playing, reading, exploring nature, learning about music or participating in sports. Without the distraction of TV, you can have a good bonding time with your family. Just be creative, it won't be boring I assure you.
