Virendra Sehwag will play a big part in the rest of the knock out matches, but he is still not fully fit.. Although he batted for hours in the practice and likely to be playing today, but there is still doubts , how effective he will be..

First the news was coming that he will be not playing but now he is playing todays match . But irfan pathan is not playing. But still as sehwag is not fit,he is playing against australia. But lets see what happens.Because whoever loses today, will be knocked out of World Cup 2011.

It is a knock out match and India will like to play it at full strength. In this match alone he can play down the order, say at no.7, that will confuse the Aussies and help create the indecision in their minds. Also his services may not be required if the others compensate. So not only will he not miss the match but he can take a reduced role only for this match.
On the contrary if he does not play psychologically India will feel weak and vulnerable. But then there is a danger of aggravating the injury too.If you are leaving him out then bolster your bowling by bringing in an additional spinner. Chawla can come in. Bahjji,Ashwin,Chawla, Yuvi and Pathan can account for 40 overs between them.
Sehwag may sit out this one but India should utilize this to bolster their bowling.
