Lucky Ones

there are people who are just way too lucky when it comes to raffles, just like my mom. most of our appliances when i was younger were all won by my mom from raffles (ref, sewing machine, rice cooker, tv, etc.). the last time she joined a raffle, she won a grocery basket (consolation as you may call it, but it is still a prize).
As for me, i cannot consider myself as lucky. I won in a raffle just once. I took home a front load washing machine and i guess it ain't so bad. there are people who had join raffles tons of times already but had not won even just once. I hope I'd be luckier next time so that i may be able to bring home that land cruiser in that nearby supermarket. :)

I win every raffle by not buying a ticket and hanging on to my hard-earned money.
Your mother does sound like she is a very lucky lady. Sad that these 'lucky' genes are not passed down along the generations

Yes this is indeed the direction I took after reading the other topic. I wanted to see for myself what was happeing and see if I could help in any way 
I absolutely agree that if we have other things in our life then we are already winners and that should be absolutely enough to make us happy souls!

so this is where you went! :) how i really wish "luck" could be passed on, that would really make me a lucky kid! anyway, it's ok. i may not be lucky but i believe i am extremely blessed in most aspect of my life so it ain't that bad. :)

You are right I am like you, no luck at all. Sometimes I feel like the luck comes to very far and few in between, I guess I am one of them. I have had to work for every shred and bit in my life. But I am not giving up yet, I hope to be lucky some day. lol...

I often seem to have terrible luck. If there were 10 cards with a million dollars under all but one, I would probably pick the odd one out.
But occasionally if I'm having a really good day (maybe once a month) then I seem to be lucky more often. I think it all depends on your overall mood!
