you get the idea.I have cats that are indoor cats, so to make sure that they never get bored i have, what they call cat scratchers with a platform on and the usual toys like the balls, wind up mice, fishing rods etc.I have just ordered them an activity centre that is huge, it is also called a cat tree.The cats get to jump and climb on it hide in the tunnels, it even has beds on it like hammocks,lol.They look great these cats trees and i think that now that the Ragdoll cats are bigger they can now use it.Stops them from getting bored and also gives me something different to look at.

If you type in cat trees there is a site that is called that and they do them, i am in the UK and also pets at home do them, i think USA also have a pets at home site.There are loads of different shapes and sizes, as well as prices.They are the best thing that has been invented if you ask me.I also typed pets furniture in and that was another way of finding them, they have scratch posts on them as well, so that is a bonus as well as there are toys on them.I do hope that has helped you.Let me know if you have a problem and i will see if i can get a link for the sites for you.

Hi Jugs, thanks for the pets at home site. I will be looking it up here shortly.
It's been too hectic here with the ball games for my grandsons and haven't had time.

WOW! U are really a cat lover!! lol =D I've never seen cats trees and i wonder what it looks like.. haha =D It's good to have those entertainments for cats at home, if not, they can be really bored.. haha =D I'm always thinking, what if i'm leading an animal/pet's life. Doing nothing all day, but sleep yet no work, how am i going to live my years.. lol =D

I have never thought of it that way. I have 2 indoor cats but both are over 15 years old and pretty lazy most of the time so I will not purchase a cat tree.

Reading at your post, I made the picture in my mind, and just have to laugh, I am sure it is quite funny to see your cats playing in this activity centre. How many cats do you have? I like cats, but, I think that my thing are dogs, I have had cats, though, they are very funny.

I didn't know there are stuffs for cats to play with, especially those cats trees? I've seen mostly scratch pads for cats to sharpen their claws, if not some basic toys whereby babies played with. Cats are usually smart to find their own entertainment and i'm surprised here. It should be a good thing to have those toys at home, so that they won't be running out of the house as and when they like.

Young cats need those entertainment centers more than the older ones, I have 2 cats over 15 years old and mostly they just eat and nap.

I have seen those cat trees and they are really good, i know that they are expensive.It is one of those cat amusments that will keep the cats bust, active and content for years.I think that it is great that they invented toys like that for cats, as there are alot more cat owners that keep their cats as indoor cats nowadays.

Only one of my cats has a cat tree that I had to buy, the other one has pet beds that I made by stuffing old clothes into zippered pillow cases and she loves them. She has 4 beds to choose from.

Hello there,
Reading your discussions about cats makes me miss my mom and my childhood days. Growing up, I was basically surrounded by cats. As I remembered, we have a dozen or so. My mom took care of them dearly. There was one kitten that I always held in my lap and coddle to sleep. And that kitten got used to it that when it grew, automatically rests on my lap to go to sleep. Such nice childhood memories....

I have always had cats, even as a child we always had cats.When i was younger as we ll as better health i use to help at a stray cats home, that was an eye opener.I have 6 cats and they are all different, they are all really friendly and love to make a fuss and play with all the people that come in my house.

Sounds like your cats are in kitty heaven. also they love the toys called the cat dancer, will love catnip oil, and also .. make sure you watch them around the hammock like part of it at first too.. sounds great though. My cats would be jealous since I have relatives allergic to them they rarely get to come indoors.

Some of my cats like catnip, where as the others do not seem like they want to know,lol.However they do all like a ping pong ball.The hammock is made of fur material not string and it is not a thing that swings, it is still and can not move, but looks like a hammock due to the material.I have a friend that is allergic to cats, lol, i just make sure that the cats are in another room when she comes here or if they are asleep i leave them knowing that they are not going near her.

I named her summer, lol, as the other one is called Winter.All i need now is Autum and Spring and i will have the fout seasons,lol.I have seen my friends cats on their activity center and it is great as it kept them amused for ages, well until they fell asleep on it.lol.I will put some photos up on her soon, so everyone can see.

Lol, the only plants i have in my house are the fake ones and the cats love those, thankfully no pee in the pots of those fake plants, i had to get rid of the real ones,lol.I hate the thought of my cats being bored and also like me being stuck indoors all the time.

Hi Jugs. Wow you got some lucky cats. When I was with my ex we had over 50 cats and he would bring in just a few at a time. We were planning on making cat trails that went across the ceiling wonder if he ever got around to it. It was going to be like a train track that went around all the rooms in the house it would have been cool. We have toys for the dogs to play with but they get jealouse if you play with them they each try to get our attention from the other one.

I have 6 cats and they all love to play with paper balls.These cat trees have houses on them as well, so that they can get inside of them and hide up, ready to pounce on the other cats,lol.I have 3 dogs as well, they love to play with their balls, also play skittles with the children,lol.

You love your cat so much. I guess I am not that kind to my cat. I can't buy him anything like that. But he is happy with what he had, an old chair for his nap and scratching mood and tantrums. He hates cat foods too, he like sardines and meat loaf, yes, meatloaf! I am happy that your cat is happy with what he had. Nice cat and lucky cat.

One of my cats like cheese and onion quiche, yuk.I know that i get bored being stuck indoors and so i know that they must be bored as well.I think that there are lots of things that cats find to amuse themselves with, but if the truth was to be known, it is me that wants to be entertained by my cats playing on their toy,lol.

That does sound like it would be very entertaining seeing the cats having so much fun. It sounds like it would keep them entertained also to where they won't climb all over everything else as much and get into things as much.

Some of the cat trees that you can buy are really huge, but they have loads of things for the cats to do on the smaller ones as well.I think these cat trees are really good for their money, also they are really hard wearing and sturdy.On some of the trees you buy, you can also add bits to them.
