My best friend has a very cute nickname and I found it out on my first visit in their home. They called her Popsy which I think is good for a child but they still use to call her that way even now. I have a very strange name, RHENNEL, and many people mistook me for a boy. I don't have a unique nickname, friends just call me Nhel.
My first daughter's name is Junelle and we got it from combining both our nicknames, my husband as being Jhun and me, Nhel. We fondly call her Uni, and one time, I heard her telling it to her sister that her nickname means YOU(U) and(N) I (I). Though I did not intend it to be that way, her explanation is good so we stick on it. My second daughter's name is Jenalyn but we got a nickname first before we decided on her firstname. We used to call the baby inside my womb Jun-Jun because we are hoping that it will be a boy. After the ultrasound, we found out that it was a girl, so we change it to Jen-Jen. other nickname we called her when we are cuddling her are chin-chin, jeng-jeng, baby and bunso.
What is special about your child's nickname?

Very cute nicknames. Back then, I told myself that if I am going to have a kid and it's a girl, I would like to name her pearl rosetti or something like that.. And I would call her pretty or Pretzy. I haven't thought anything for a boy yet but definitely, picking names is quite a challenge and at the same time fun.

My daughter's have very unique names since both my name and my hubby's are very common. They also have cute, different nicknames as well. Their grandmother couldn't remember their names and shortened their names somewhat. Since these nicknames are so much easier to remember this is what they are called by everyone from family, to friends, to teachers!
