Rep, King of NY Gets a Nasty Surprise in Mail.

The United States postal service intercepted a package sent to Rep. Pete King R-NY, King is the chairman of the House Homeland Security Agency. The package was found to have severed pig's feet in it.
In March, King held high-profile congressional hearings on Islamic radicalization in the U.S., saying he aimed to confront the threat of homegrown extremism.
King, who is Catholic has been accused by one Democrat, of scapegoating the entire religion of Islam.
Seems to me, he's being made the scapegoat. What do you think of this?

I had been following those hearings some, and there was nothing in them that was not commonsense things that needed to be addressesd. Considering the stated goals of the likes of the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR, who have said that there goal was to infiltrate and destroy our government from within, the charges of scapegoating are laughable at best.

Why are elected officials, those who are suppose to be looking out for their constituents, complacent about and/or actively supporting those who are out to destroy us? I just don't get it. Well, what I don't get is why we keep electing them. Why we don't impeach them!

This reminds me of the Macarthy era and how he was laughed at and condemned. Ultimately he was exonerated by the declassified documents that came out of the fallen Soviet Union. I read The Venona Secrets: Exposing Soviet Espionage and America's Traitors by Herbert Romerstein & Eric Breindel and was shocked at how many in our government were helping the communist Soviet Union.
The left silenced Macarthy and his warnings then and it is doing the same thing now.

First of all, whoever sent that awful package to Rep. King was totally wrong, that's indefensible and I hope the culprit is caught and dealt with to the fullest extent of the law. I say nail him or her for animal cruelty for doing such an awful thing to a poor pig as well as for illegally sending it to a member of Congress.
That having been said, however, I think King is a total jerk and a huge hypocrite given his own past as a supporter of a known terror group!

To go after an entire group of AMERICANS as if ALL Muslim-Americans are terrorists or radical extremists is intolerant, ignorant and insensitive on King's part. What if they were to target all Italian-Americans, Irish-Americans or any other American citizens of European descent?

The American public, rightfully so...was outraged at the treatment of Islamic detainees at Gitmo...
Are they as outraged about this...does the press blast it into the conciousness of every thinking American on the nightly news...magazines and movies?
