My sister had a hip hammock when her daughter was little. Her daughter was in it all the time. I got one that was like new off freecycle when I was pregnant with my son and used it maybe a handful of times. I offered it on freecycle yesterday and a woman I know asked for it to use for when her little of puppies is born. No one else has requested it so shes more then welcome to it. I dont know if it will work for that but it will be adorable if it does! In case you dont know what a hip hammock is here is a link that shows pictures of them : http://www.swankeltd.com/

Hi shaggin, we have hip hammock sewn from small pieces of cloth left when cutting cloth for new clothes. It's our traditional way of making hip hammock for baby. It's attractive with its various colors as well as designs. I used it to carry my son while I was busy with my house work sometimes. Nowadays my son has grown up and I pass it to my relative who still needs it Have a niceday

Thats awesome that you made someone yourself that was sturdy enough to be used by you and now to be passed on to someone else. The hip hammock was neat but it was just more of a pain to put it on me put my son in it and adjust it so it wouldnt pull on my shoulder and be uncomfortable. It was just easier to pick my son up in my arms and go.

Yeah, it made me pain on the shoulder as well. The pain became severe when the weight of the baby went up I wouldn't put my son in it often. I never liked to use it anymore after my son had reached his 8th month, as I couldn't tolerate the pain caused by the weight. I liked to let him sat in the folding baby carriage. Both of us felt comfortable and relaxed in this way
