For my contribute in Earth Day I'm planning to go to my local hardware store and get a free tree. Probably plant it when I get my house maybe or maybe not.. We will see because I don't know how big this tree can get. I already use less electricity and and replace all my light bulbs and buying new products that are energy Star. :)

Hi there,
I have never joined to Earth Day event. However, I always save electric. Because this my benefits. I don't want to pay a bill with an amount which I can't pay it at the end of month

Hmm, I played outside instead of watching tv and using the computer. I hope that counts! These days I go outside during the day more often, rather than using electricity. Also, I don't drive as much as I did a year ago. This is partly because I can't pay for gas any more. So now I walk to the store.

I did not celebrate Earth Day, but I did celebrate Good Friday. I cannot see celebrating a day that wants us to go without and lowers our standard of living. And I cannot celebrate a day that honors lowering our population and is people unfriendly. I can see saving money by recycling, and turning off lights in a room, plus putting clothes out to dry (once I get my clothesline in and right now, because of my leg in a cast I cannot do that. I draw the line at not flushing the toilet as I do not want to get any bacterial disease.
By the way, since this environmentalist todo, this honoring of earth has not saved us any money. It takes more money to scrape paint off used wood to reuse it again, to use recycled paper (yes, I have a friend in that business). Sometimes new is better. And when the recycle truck picks up the papers and bottles left in the recycle box, remember they do not leave any money for you for your good deed.

as a contribution to earth day, i will continue on segregating my garbage.. we have been doing this for some time already and it feels good to be able to recycle those that can be recycled.. also, i will save the use of electricity by putting the switch off everytime an appliance/bulb is not being used.. another one is by conserving the water.. making sure that there are no leaks in the pipes.. even in my small ways i know it would be of great help to mother earth.. those would be my ways of saying thank you to her.. :)

Hello payout!
My family takes care of a farm, so we've already planted lots of trees!
We unplug everything at the end of the day to reduce electricity, and we also use paper bags for shopping. The water we used in washing clothes are reused to water our plants. I also collect bottles and sell them to the junkyard. :)
