I have seen some girls who bleach their facial hair and I think it looks good because it's not noticeable except at a certain angle in the sunlight. I have some thick hairs around my chin and my hair is black, so I am wondering if I should bleach it. I thought of plucking it, but that makes it thicker.. what should I do?

I will never do something like that. Bleaching products works with oxygen, this is the way they have the power to bleach something. Oxygen is of course, oxidative and can have serious problems for skin like darkening or discoloration and accelerate the process of aging. Why do you think our body and skin gets older? Because we live in contact with oxygen. Oxygen is bad for the skin and bleaching products are even worst.

We age because cell regeneration slows down--show us where it says that oxygen is bad for us???!!! We need oxygen to live so how could it be bad?

Bleach is Dangerous to the Skin after Years of Use. It will Cause Damage to the Skin.
Look for a Safer Hair Dye on the Market. You can get Electrolysis Treatment or Use Exfoliate for the Skin. These are much Safer than Bleaching the Skin. See a Dermatologist for More Answers.

ohh i didn't think of a hair dye. maybe i will try that, but i'm scared of electrolysis because I heard things can go wrong and cause permanent damage.

I also have black facial hair and I started by bleaching it in high school. It only worked for a while--I usually mixed it wrong and had my choice of it burning my skin, or not doing it's job at all! So I just didn't bother with doing anything for years, till someone pointed it out to me (blush!) and I started plucking. THAT didn't work well at all! A neighbor suggested I try waxing my brows one day, so I decided to try it. The salon offered a special deal if I did my brows, upper lip and chin so I tried it. I waxed for years but it didn't get all the thick hairs on my chin--some techs took the time to pluck those stubborn hairs. Now I'm nearly through my first series of laser treatments and I can see a BIG difference on my upper lip!
Staying hairless and beautiful can get tedious and expensive, right?

Does Vanique have to be prescribed? I'm currently going through laser treatments now--I'm not allowed to tweeze or wax while on treatment. She suggested I shave--I tried to, but even with lotion, my face broke out because I'm so sensitive. I don't think our faces (as women) are designed to shave their faces.

you could dye the hairs because bleaching is a bad alternative. if you are okay with spending a lot of money, you can laser the hair. after a couple of procedures, the hair doesn't grow back.
hope i helped :)

I have not had to bleach as to date I have not had facial hair but I am sure if you go to the pharmacy the pharmacist can recommend some safe products that can temporarily help. I sway temporarily because they do grow back and just like hair dye it fades with time.
