part of ra9492 states that if a regular holiday falls on a sunday, the following monday is considered a holiday. labor day is on may 1, may 1 falls on a sunday. so how come may 2 is not a holiday?
i'm not an expert in philippine law. so maybe republic acts are in the discretion of the current administration. but if not, then is pnoy being unlawful?

Hello friend,
Me also is not an expect in our law but my assumption is discretion of the administration is the closet reason why May 2 is not holiday. I don't know if we can say or we can say Pnoy is unlawful but any big deal against him, nothing.. so just wait and see... see you around

it would have been more fun if the labor day was moved to may 2 so that the laborers were given another day off with their families to relax and enjoy. our labor day this year was just like any other ordinary day because it was a sunday when everyone is at their house or with families. But then, I did not have any concerns with the overtime because I had work sunday and monday hehe :)
