Heat stroke could really kill. So , the people should be alert on what better things to do when the heat is really intense. I am thankful that here in our province, the heat is not that much because like yesterday, it suddenly rained. Also the air is not so hot. Maybe because our city is near the sea and on the outskirts there are lots of trees.

Actually, the weather here is like that. Sometimes, it would rain in the evening of early morning, then it's suuny all day long. I just hope it will always be that way. Summer is not that hot.

Glad to hear that it already rained in your place, I'm really wishing for it to happen in here so our place can cool down a bit.

How awful! I hate when it gets too hot. The heat makes me sick sometimes and it can make me get dizzy and almost pass out. Once while I worked at Burger King during the summertime, it got way too hot in the kitchen and it was making me very sick. I tried to talk to my manager, but she didn't like me and was too busy to listen to me at all. I ended up getting in trouble because I had to run to the bathroom. Ugh.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Your manager is so cruel, getting your health in jeopardy. You should file a complaint against her to teach her some lessons. Managers should take their employees' health into consideration too you know

It is a sad fact that people die due to the heat, as they do to being cold.I know that there were a few children that got heat stroke when I was younger and they all ended up in hospital, some of this should have easily been avoided by taking simple precautions.

Heatstroke can be something very serious and should not be taken lightly. Anything can happen in extreme heat and caution and care should be taken to prevent these measures from becoming grave concerns.

Wow sad to hear this and although here it is not warm yet I am in no rush because it gets so very hot here that they create emergency cooling areas. I know the feeling about wanting summer to end soon for you on my side I am not even wishing it starts. lol

Yeah, I hope rain will start to fall this month of May so we can cool down a bit. But for now, we have to take extra care....

Hi. whengcat. That is very sad! I am so very sorry to hear of their passing away. I am doing all that I can to stay out of the sun. When it is over 85 degrees, I take extreme precaution of being out in the hot sun too long and too much. I don't even let my kids play outside when it is extremely hot. Just being in the hot sun for over 30 minutes can have an major affect on the body. We all should be careful of how long that we stay in the sun.
