Do you all agree that Pope John Paul II is deserving to be a Saint? In my perspective, absolutely yes! Cause among all Popes he was the only Pope who able to help Christians not just from a certain place but for the whole World. Please do share your thoughts!

I don't really know is required to actually be considered a saint. i am sure that the pope has more than enough of the qualitites to make him deserving of such a title. it is not that many can have bestowed on them in good faith., @Graceekwenx (3160)

Absolutely yes.
We all know that JPII is from Poland. While he was doing military work, he was studying underground as a seminarian; this was the time when the european forces were dividing Poland. It didnt stop there. When Poland was back at its feet again, here comes the invasion of Hitler. Jews and Christians were on the hunt by Hitler's forces. It didnt stop there again. When Hitler was out, here comes communism via Stalin. I believe he has gone through a lot especially in the times of war. He has persisted on being a priest. I dont know what else to say. To write it further would populate this discussion. He has written my doctrines and encyclicals for the improvement of the church. He has also declared the feast of Divine Mercy. His first words when he was elected Pope was "Be Not Afraid." When he was shot, he has forgiven the assailant and even visited him in jail graciously. Such an admirable man.
