Seems like Susan and her family would get poisoned, too.

Beth's mother is trying to poison Paul by putting antifreeze in the food that Susan prepares for him. But sometimes she has been putting it in things that she has no way of knowing for sure will go to Paul and not to Susan and her family; like when she injected the potato in a whole bag of potatoes or switched the orange juice bottle in Susan's shopping cart. Susan just had a kidney transplant and may only have one kidney, that is not clear, but in any case she would be a lot more vulnerable to the poison and so would her young son because of his age.

I was thinking that about the potatoes, but then I just figured they were all going over to Paul's. Typical stupid Hollywood writer thing....

that is a good point - how would she know that one potato would be used for Paul too?

Well, it may well be part of the plot. Beth's mother is crazy. That's very obvious. Crazy people don't tend to think of what will happen to other people. They just care about doing what they can to harm.
It may be that it will eventually poison susan's family. That would be a very interesting twist

I think the setting of this story is to only effect Paul. Watching it last night, I wasn't thinking about the effects it was going to have on anybody expect Paul. Im really interested in seeing whats going to happen next week. A two hour long season finale.
