My cousin called me this morning, to tell me that her plans to go to BC (which has been planned for the last 5 months) have been canceled. Her boyfriend's Grandmother is slowly dying, she has been taken off oxygen and it is only a matter of time before she passes. My cousin is very upset, more for her boyfriend than anything cause she didn't know his grandma. Having said that though, his situation has brought up old feelings of our grandma's passing. We were very close to her and my cousin is now at a loss as to how to make her boyfriend feel a little better. We know what it is like to loose a loved one, and it isn't easy. I was wondering if anyone here has any ideas as to what we can do to make him feel better. I have told my cousin that being there for him, and having something warm for him to eat when he gets out of the hospital, is a good start, but she would like to do more, and I'm just not sure what we can do. Any thoughts? Have you ever lost someone close to you? How did you manage to get through it?
