How do you keep your home clean, fresh, and organize?

I'm out of school until June 6th. I'm so overwhelm with the house cleaning. I did join some websites, but I know how to clean. It just where do I start. I'm the only one in the relationship that is willing to do it. Which is sad, on the other hand, the place isn't clean, nor organized. I need a routine, but I can not find one that fits, I tried different ones, but after 40 days it seems it gets old, so I quit. So Please tell me how do you guys/gals get your home, clean, fresh, and stay organized? Thanks for the help.

For me I would clean my room everyday and buy a freshener so that it feel good odor and bacteria away.

nice, I like the freshener idea. I probably going to get some vanilla and put in a spray botter with water and use that. Thanks.

I will be the first to admit that I am not the best home cleaner, but the thing that I got that I love the most that helps with my cleaning is a Rubbermaid spray mop. It is sort of like the swiffer mop but the mop pad is reusable and you make your own cleaner for the spray bottle. This way you can customize. I have Fabuloso lavender cleaner in mine right now. When the mop pad gets dirty, just toss it in the washer and wash it then tumble dry on low. I spent twenty dollars on it at amazon, but used a ecertificate from a survey so it was free. :)

I also do like the first response above, where I start in one room and work my way to towards the back. Then each day I make sure the kitchen and bathroom is well cleaned including the floors. It is just the two of us so not much messing occurs, so tiding up daily is quite easy. We do a through once a week of the entire apartment.
