Long gown!

Ok this got me thinking because a memo was just passed around the office telling us to wear a long gown this june 12 the office will have a formal affair and we need to wear one. And i was just browsing the website for victoriassecret and i remembered this lol 
how i wish i have the bodies of those model and i would not mind wearing a long gown! but really, i am not so sure how i would look like in a long gown! and i do not know where to get one!!! dilemma again!! and i still have weeks more before the 12th of june, i am thinking of borrowing, renting or buyign second hand..which do u think is convenient? but money is tight and i am not so used to wearing a long gown!! long gown!! i believe i look ridiculous in that!

yes you should look in second hand shops. because i bought 2 at my hubbies request, about 14yrs ago because when he was alive sometimes the clients he worked with would come to our city and offer us to a fancy dinner house. back then we had lots of money. i got both from victorias secrets. 80 dollars a peice. 
i wore each 1 time. now they hang in my closet still.

wow wow! you were able to buy from Victoria's? so nice bunny.. let me borrow it hahaha well i am still asking friends if they have long gowns but some replied and they have none since it is not common to use long gown here..unless you are one who always attend parties and fancy dinners but we do not but i will be going to the second hand shops this weekend.

I have few here,but you are too far from me my friend.
I am not a party goer,but my mom always gifted me long gowns,evening gowns-as she said,"just in case".
Yes,just in case,like your case right now right?
I suggest you rent,but if renting is too costly then better buy a second hand.
Don't worry about your body,you can try fitting long gowns that will make you looks stunning...just grace the day and i am sure you will feel good thu you are used to wearing long gowns

ohhh now i wish manila is just a bus away! i might go and look for it in second hand shops.. and as for rent, it is a bit costly like 1000 just for one day...

long gown hunting is fun! or at least you should make it fun. it's a time to bond with some girlfriends and make fun of yourself after trying ridiculous outfits.
i dont know where you will get on but maybe you can call up friends or relatives who can lend you one

When we had our corporate party in Manila , last December, the theme was black and gown. But i chose to wear a black but formal dress instead.
However, from the others who wear gowns, i have learned that they rented them from our local designers. That way, they were able to save. They said that if they buy one, it will take years before they could wear it again, so they just rented.
But again as i have said before and saw, at 168 mall, Divisoria there were stalls who sells cheap gowns. In fact , my daughter's beautiful long Filipiniana dress was bought in Divisoria for only PhP1500.00 and it was really fabulous!
I know, you are far from that place. Just want to mention it again.

awwww makes me wish it is a bus away! well i still do not know what to wear.. i might go long gown hunting this weekend
