i hate ebay!!!!!!!

what is the actual deal with ebay? i just don't get it! i loved it at the start! i sold things, made a little money, got rid of things i didn't want, that didn't fit.. or things i'd maybe bought and never used or never wore! then people started complaining about things.. wanting full refunds because the clothes and shoes didn't have "tags" on them, even though they clearly stated "used! on the listing. people complaining that things didn't arrive "on time" .. ON TIME?!?! on time for what? THEY ARE BUYING AN AUCTION ITEM THAT NINE TIMES OUT OF TEN IS USED? ITS NOT AS IF THEY ARE GOING TO GIVE IT TO SOMEONE FOR A PRESENT!! and how can i control the post? they get a notification when i have posted the item, because when you generate and print the address label, it automatically emails them! i generally post the item the next day, or 2 days after recieveing payment. you have up to 5 working days, from receipt of payment, to POST the item, not for them to recieve it!! so i cannot control the postal service, which is a joke at the best of times. THEN!! as if that isn't bad enough that i'm getting abuse over something someone bought for £2.. ebay sides with the buyer!!!! the give the buyer a refund!! so not only do i have NO money for the item, the buyer still has the item, AND i'm down money for posting the bloody thing!! and the fee's!! is it even worth it with the fee's?! fee for listing, fee for selling, fee for recieving the money from the buyer even though its MY MONEY, for MY ITEM!! the buyer doesn't have to pay a fee for buying it! why am i getting charged for recieving the money! i paid for the add, i paid for selling it, now theres a fee for even getting the money for it? so someone buys my item for £2.. postage is £2 .. so they send me £4. i pay the £2 postage to post the item, and after my 3 fee's come out, i'm left with what? 50p? great!! i'll retire!! UGHHHHHHHHHHH!! whats everyone elses views on ebay??

I still sell things on ebay, but I agree with you that ebay is not as fun as it used to be. Ever since they took away the ability to leave negative ratings for buyers, buyers have REALLY begun to take advantage of sellers--complaining about shipping costs, shipping times, and all of the other things you have mentioned. I still use it primarily to motivate me to clean out my house, but it is not as fun--or as profitable--as it used to be!

i still sell things, but now its more to get rid of it.. the way im starting to look at it is, i get rid of something, someone else will enjoy it,and i've a £1 in my pocket, ive actually stopped trying to make money on it. i've no idea how people actually run, and profit from ebay stores.. especially people offering free postage and packaging.. it baffles me!!

Yo rant on mylot.Thats what we can do unfortunately.Ebay is trying to become another mall like target or amazon and they are ditching small sellers purposely.

I agree with you that ebay is not really worth it because of all the fees you get charged. I normally sell books on there and what I do i increase the price of the item but decrease the postage fee, also I always make sure that I stay in touch with them, also when you list a item just set it to 2nd class post then it will take longer and I have had no complaints. I just set the dispatch time to the longest. What you can do if you are not happy with ebay and the buyers behaviour is you could leave them negative feedback. If I was you I would make a note of the buyers user name on ebay and report them to ebay with a complaint as when they make a bid for your item they are actually making a contract with you so by getting their money back and not sending your item back they are breaking the contract and you could take them to court or ask the police to go and see them and get your item back. Most buyers from my experience do not cause problems I would just block that buyer off your ebay so they cannot do the same again. Im sorry you get abuse on there.

yes! the fact you can't leave a buyer negative feedback!! what is that all about? so the buyer can leave us negative feedback if they suddenly decide they aren't happy with the item, even though they keep it etc, or they complain about postage prices, or maybe they are just not a very nice person and get a kick out of it.. but yet even if you have a problem with the buyer, or you want to retaliate to their negative feedback, you can't! you've to leave them positive, or leave them nothing.. but whats leaving them nothing achieveing other than me getting a stupid notification everytime i log in, reminding me to do it. it's nothing but a giant pain.. nothings fun anymore, it's like they are sucking the life out of everything!
