Home Depot spend million of dollars investing on this blackberry - like cell phone for each of its branch employee to assist their customers in a faster pace. This cell phone has many functions, like check out items for the customers while they are in the aisle, to avoid the long line in the check out counter. They can answer customers questions fast and quick by referring to the related database and information from this high - tech phone. They can also check out the price and in - stock inventory or neighborhood inventories for customers in quick. So, that will very much enhance customer service. Maybe Home Depot is the first chain - retail stores to embrace such technology. I would recommend most of our retail stores will use such technology too in the near future. During the high season, it is truly frustrated if you are waiting in a long line.
