Awkward moments with famous people?

My most recent (yeah, recent, as in there have been a few) was with someone less famous than he should be, Mat Devine of the band Kill Hannah... I say that because he's friends with practically EVERYONE from U2's The Edge to Bam Margera to Vince Vaughn to John Hughes' son, he's the resident blogger for Fuse TV, has been on Broadway and in print ads for the Gap and Nike....and yet, still virtually no one knows who he is. But Mat and I are sorta-friends. He's not going to invite me to a party but he'll sit with me and chat if he runs into me at Starbucks. The awkward moment came a couple of months ago when I went to see one of his last performances on Broadway. His band has a very distinct logo that is on pretty much everything they touch (the necklace I'm wearing in my pic). He sees me standing on the street outside the theater and says "Hey! How are yooooooohhh I like that!" And lifts my necklace off my chest to study it, practically with the end of his nose, as if he'd never seen one before. I am still baffled by that moment. Have you ever met a celebrity or someone you admire and had a really awkward moment with them? Either something you did - maybe you forgot your own name or called them by the wrong name - or something they did like mine?
