HI FRIENDS
today i remember this poem by anna akhmatova.please read the poem and post your comments...
my heart was chilled and numb
but my feet were light
i fumbled the glove for my lefthand
onto my right
i seemed there were many steps
i knew there were only three
autumn whispering in the mapples
kept urging die with me!
i am cheated by joylessness
changed by a destiny untrue
i answered my dear my dear
i too i'll die with you
the song of the last meeting
i see that dark house again
only bedroom candles burning
the yellow indefferent flame

sorry friend i dont know too much about anna akhmatova but i knew she is a very good russian poetess and a painter.......hmmmm this poem is one of her good poems.........this translated in english that's why not feeling that much good however original in russian is really good and i like her choice of word..........

What is the meaning of the poem, poetry has one thing ,as we start reading from first till end we want to know what is it telling about or regarding what is the poetry written for. I read .I couldnot understand.What is the description.
