what if the bride or the groom asked you to sing and you not prepared?

they asked you to sing on the spot at their wedding party and you are not prepared, what would you do? are you going to sing or run? if you sing, what song would you want to sing? also, do you have trust with your voice to sing in front of many guests?

I would run! I hate to sing infront of people and i dont have a great singing voice anyway. I can't see how i would find myself in a situation like this. Noone has really heard me sing to know if they like my voice enough to sing at a wedding.

Oh, i will gladly sing. If they want to hear me sing, then I'll sing fore them. I will not be apologetic for my voice since they are the ones who prodded me to sing. No, I am not intimidated with people around, I am used to it since in school I am always facing a lot of people's face's stuck to listen to what ever I am saying. Guess I have enough practice for this.

and if you will not sing, you'll be wary or end up disposing yourself from the visitors i think

I have a mediocre skill in singing and I'm pretty much confident with it. If it's just a solo act, I can do it. If instruments are included I might have a hard time doing it coz I'd be having trouble hitting the right tunes.

Well, if there's a band, I'll have problems hitting the right tunes so I'd rather let my voice drown.

just sing and the band will follow you.. it is more easier than performing alone. just don't let your voice drowned..

I love singing so I would gladly sing in their wedding. Hmm about the song, maybe some love song that I know . I sing in front of people all the times so I'm not self conscious or shy.

I will not run. I will stand and go to the stage as if it has been planned all along. I would not embarass myself and the newlyweds by way of running. I am not the best singer in town, but I will try my best to sing as sincerely as possible. I will sing something that I know. I would probably sing For Once In My Life, the Vonda Shepard version. If I sing from the heart, I believe that the guests and the newlyweds will feel it too no matter how imperfect I am in singing.

im going to sing forever and ever amen by randy travis and i would love to see them dance while i'm singing lol... the only problem is that, i can't sing without my guitar but i'll try my best for that very special occasion for the newly weds lol.. but if, they hired a combo/band there is no problem at all. since its their party, they could ask for more if they wish too..

Since at the wedding people probably already know me and they know that I can't sing, at yet still ask me, I'll sing. Definitely will. I don't know what song will it be, but I'll walk to the stage and probably if a karaoke is playing I'll try just to sing along (regardless whether I will be off tune or not)

This could be embarrassing, excpecially if you are close to that person. You don't want to be mortified by what you need to do and you don't want to be insulting either. if it were me i would just go with the flow and play it by ear. There's something to be said for winging it.

Hi zills: First of all I would consider that it's the bride so I have to say yes even if I don't actually know why would she ask me to do this because I am not a good singer at all. I think I'd chose a slow song where you don't need some amazing singing skills. I'd feel embarrased because I don't have the best voice but I'll try to enjoy this time and smile while making a ridiculously horrible acting ALVARO

Hi zills, I would definitely sing for them, with style too. Guess I would go for Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World." I doubt if the orchestra can accompany it, it is not really a popular song nowadays. It is one of my most favorites though.

It would really depend on how well I knew the bride and groom. If I knew them well enough I would just be ready in season or out of season... in other words I would just wing it. But if I didn't know them so well, I would tell them I am not prepared.
