Selling on eBay

The day after tomorrow, I will be getting my first shipment of wholesale dresses from a supplier. I bought about 100 bucks worth of cheap dresses, for less than 8 bucks each, and I'm hoping to sell them for at least 15 bucks each. I don't know how that's going.
But I have sold old dresses, and I have noticed that casual dresses are pretty easy to sell on eBay, along with electronics.
Right now the only dress I have up is this sort of ugly black dress I got at a thrift store. My goodness, though, I've got 12 people watching it, 5 bids, and there are still two days left of the auction. I think it is because it is a black dress, most women need basic things like that.
I'm hoping to make enough money this way so that I won't have to write articles anymore, because I've been doing that for years now. I always try to find out how much people are charged for the articles I write, because I am always under companies, and I'm finding out that I am often paid 3 dollars for articles that cost 10 dollars.
I don't like sites where you have to bid for work, I joined a site like that once and it was ridiculously cheap, and the competition was crazy.
So my plan is to sell dresses on eBay, and if that goes well, get a domain and set up a boutique.
You guys have any tips for eBay, success stories?

I have to tell you that you can achieve great things from ebay. A success story I'd like to share is that of the canadian guy kyle. In case you never heard his story all I need to say is that he did some exchanges via ebay. He begun only with a paperclip and he ended in getting a house in exchange. Pretty amazing isn't it?:p

Wow about the articles thing, that's crazy. I think your dresses will sell and do just fine :) I'd definitely take ebay over internet writing anyday, less stressful in my opinion. I sell things on ebay all the time, I don't get shipments from wholesale suppliers though, it's mostly just things I have lying around that are taking up space in good condition. My only tip is to make all your auctions .99 and whatever price you want shipping so it's free to sell and doesn't cost you anything if it doesn't sell :) Hope all goes well, good luck with the dresses!

This is a great idea. I have never sold on Ebay and want to start. I know that I can start with things I have at home and I have heard that electronics is the best thing to sell. I may have old video games too that my kids do not play anymore. Keep me posted on how this goes......
