Lately CNN has a vote for the most revolting food in the world:http://www.cnngo.com/explorations/eat/ireport-most-disgusting-foods-world-053021 What do you think about it? Are they really volting foods? Personally I don't think that the century eggs are so horrible. Whereas I think the fried tarantula which comes from Cambodia is terrible. Do you know any revolting foods?

hi youless dear, surprise! surprise! i am back! hehe.. oh well, let's get right back into your discussion my friend. I agree with you that century eggs are not that horrible; in fact all those exotic food that they have listed are not horrible in my opinion since they are the kind of food or delicacies each region or country have enjoyed eating. as they say, "To each his own". I do believe that one has a right to one's personal preferences, as in I'd never pick that color, but to each his own; just like in food, this may be horrible to one's so sensitive palate but to another it may be a heavenly pleasure. in my country, we have our fair share of exotic foods that to others may find them horrible but of course, i can't blame them since they are not used to see these kind of foods as i am not used to other country's own exotic food. i am sorry i can't bring myself in describing it as revolting for i prefer using "exotic" instead. hehe.. take care youless and have many lovely moments! lovelots, faith210

Waaaah! I'm eating an orange while reading the article! What was I thinking? LOL! If I were to vote, I wouldn't know which one to choose. I think all of them are disgusting, hehe! The century egg doesn't look so disgusting though but I haven't tried it either. It's the first time I've heard about Tamilok. I guess it's in a different region here in the Philippines. And I didn't know that we eat fried frogs! I'm surprised that "balot" wasn't included. It's more famous than Tamilok and fried frogs. It's a boiled egg of a duck fetus. A lot of people here in my country likes it, me included, although depending on the duck fetus' age. Most people like the 18 weeks where the duckling's already almost formed with the legs and feathers. I like the 16 weeks because it's still an embryo.

Frankly, I think the smelling tofu shall be much more disgusting. I don't know why the century eggs will be voted as number 1 We often use the century egg to make the congee.

Yeah it's weird. Perhaps the voters were not used to eating congee. Hehehe! I think the dog should be the one voted as first. It's quite revolting... and sad.
