Actually my cousin is in his senior year, and he is ready for college after the summer is over, pretty soon right? I believe that he did apply a couple of colleges in his mind, and I guess that none of them actually reply yet, or probably those colleges he wanted to get in, didn't actually accept his application, due to God - knows what factor. Lately my parents in a conversation with him, he seems pessimistic about it, and actually wants to quit continue education or something. None sense right, he is still 18 years, and there were full of college - graduated students in seeking jobs right now. Without a college degree, he might not be competitive as others. So, to encourage him, he should attend those community university or second - tier college, then he can transfer to somewhere better or more prestigious.

Your cousin should choose to continue his course or take his credits and transfer to another course that interests him more. When I applied to go to university I didn't get accepted so I tried applying to a university in Wales. I was successful and got a place there. There is much unemployment right now and so getting the best qualifications possible is essential. Good luck to your cousin and his studying.

You can always encourage him to pursue the studies. He already one step on completing his studies. But sometimes things happen that only a person could explain. Sometimes one lacks the sparks or maybe there are other explanation. Knowing the reasons for these factors could give you the right approach to the problem at hand. I'm sure your parents had talk to him and told him about the consequences of his actions. But maybe, he just wants to have a break. His still young, and young people do have many plans in life. Just be supportive to all that he wants to do to his life. Its his to suffer though.
