Hello,
I've bought yesterday a new LCD TV, LG 42 'LD 4250th
I watch through a receiver, where image and sound is perfect in itself. Yet one constantly hears a low hum, which with increasing volume is too loud.
The second Problem is a transparent strip that moves constantly from top to bottom.
Why is that?

Well the others suggested it was an electrical problem, I would say it's just the t.v., but before I do, how old was the t.v. prior to that, and was it plugged in the same way and with the same cables? If it was a lot older maybe the cables won't support your newer t.v., I'd suggest though to call the company and get yourself another t.v. or ask them what they would suggest to get rid of such, they may know what's going on better then we do.

Once to put the plug or turn the plug.
Remove all other electrical appliances, lamps, telephones (especially saving lamp) and ähnlichesin near ..
If that does not help another, perhaps better cable from the receiver to LCD
You Gerh via SCART or HDMI? If available use HDMi.
