Afraid of glasses and mirrors in the mall

I have this tendency that when I am at the mall especially on glass wares or even whenever I saw dividers made from glasses with sharp ends, my eyes is starting to get itchy I can't go near to those glass wares coz Im afraid that I might broke something, so I put my hands inside my pocket or just stay away from it. And I really want to end this phobia of mine, gradual exposure wouldn't help coz I kept scratching my eyes.

I can't blame you because I used to be scared to go near glasswares myself when I was a kid. I don't want to break one and pay. I don't scratch my eyes though. That's a pretty strong aversion you have.

Good for you that you have a mild one and doesn't scratch your eyes, I have this feeling that whenever I see glasswares I always imagine it piercing in my eyes, I don't know why. So my eyes will start to get itchy. weird huh?

Yeah. It's pretty unusual. Well maybe you had a childhood trauma pertaining to glass. Like an accident or maybe watching a really scary movie when you were just a kid.
